1. What you send us
- The quotation(s), as PDFs or clear photos of every page, including footnotes and terms
- Your floor plan, and photos of the unit if you have them
- Your budget, and what matters most to you
- Anything the ID told you that isn't written in the quote
You can cover up NRIC numbers, bank details and anything else that isn't needed. Only the consultant advising you reads what you send. See our Privacy Policy.
2. The 6 things we check
| Check | What we look at |
|---|---|
| 1. Scope | Does the quote cover everything you asked for, room by room? We list what's missing, such as electrical works, waterproofing, doors, debris disposal or cleaning. |
| 2. Clarity | Does each line say what you're getting: quantity, size, material and brand? We flag lump sums, “TBC” items and allowances that could raise the price later. |
| 3. Prices | Which lines look unusually high or low, based on our experience, and what might explain it. A very low price can be a warning sign too. |
| 4. Payments | How much is paid before work starts, whether payments follow finished stages, and how much is kept until handover. |
| 5. Terms | Start and completion dates, how changes are priced and approved, warranty, whether GST is stated, how long the quote is valid, and who applies for permits. |
| 6. The firm | Whether it's on HDB's Directory of Renovation Contractors, its ACRA record, and whether it's CaseTrust-accredited. We help you check; we don't rate firms. |
If you have more than one quote, we line them up against the same scope so you compare like with like, not just the totals.
3. What you get back
- A short verdict: whether the quote is ready to sign, and what's stopping it
- Your top fixes, in order: what matters most, and why
- Questions to send your ID, written so you can copy and paste them
- Items to get priced before you sign, so they don't turn into extra charges later
- Plain-English notes on confusing wording in the quote
See what this looks like in our sample report.
4. What we don't do
- We don't rate, recommend or blacklist firms
- We don't contact your ID or share your quote, unless you ask us to
- We don't give legal advice or certify structural works
- We don't guarantee a price or promise savings
- We don't receive anything from any firm, whichever you choose
5. Fee and timing
A quotation review is an add-on. WhatsApp us with your property type and how many quotes you have, and we'll confirm the fee and when you'll get your notes before we start. Up to 2 quotations can also be discussed during a first session.
